Where Was Your Hope?

9/11/2013

I was coming home from an early season duck hunt on Kentucky Lake in Tennessee with two friends when I heard the news on the radio on September 11th.  Where were you?  Where was your hope then?  Where is your hope now?

… As you remember what today means, where will you find hope?
…Lam 3:25 “The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him;”
… We all remember where we were 12 years ago when our nation was brutally attacked by radical terrorists. We must never forget those whose lives were taken. We must be vigilant, militarily, against those who would so casually kill innocent people, but our hope, ultimately, cannot rest in our military might. After all, we are supposed to be “one nation under God”. What we place our hope in, gets our focus, allegiance, and energy. It is what we seek. Only God is capable of giving us the hope we need today, as we remember. Seek Him, and you will discover that He is good. He will be all the hope you and our nation needs.  Chuck McAlister
