Becoming a Trapper.

I made up my mind to finally dive in and learn the skill of trapping in 2015. I've had some traps that my dad gave me years ago and have never put them to use. I've honestly wanted to learn to trap critters since I was a little boy. I just never had the opportunity or proper guidance from someone that could teach me. However, one of my buddies from church, Jake, has been trapping for a few years and let me tag along on his sets. I rode along with Jake as he checked traps for coyotes and coons and even set out a few new sets. I saw real quickly the trapping game could be pretty addicting. I ordered some gear to get me started and set out my first coon traps. On the first morning of running traps I walked up on my first coon in the trap. I was officially a trapper! I honestly need another outdoor addiction like I need a hole in my head! But this is one of the good ones that I can't let slide and will be lots of fun my kiddos as well.
